Handgun Operator

$425.00

This course will focus on how to shoot and move, accurately and tactically.  The handgun and carbine operator class is a two day course that will reinforce the fundamentals class, and add non-static components to effective gunfighting.  We will introduce movement and fighting platforms as well as additional gun handling skills that round out how to skillfully handle a lethal encounter.  This course is in part, bringing the physical aspect of fighting to the fundamentals aspect of safely running the gun and accurately engaging a target.
Digestion of what was learned in the Handgun Fundamentals class is paramount.  Drinking from a fire hose is still drinking but it’s not the recommended method for learning with firearms.  The mother of learning is repetition, and the repetitions need to occur, typically in-between a fundamentals class is this course.  This is a learning process that is accomplished after the fundamentals become a skill, but not quite mastered.

The goal of this course is to have students learn and demonstrate the fundamentals of handgun marksmanship and perform manipulation techniques while problem solving with added movement. This course is a practical exercise conducted at a live-fire range. The student will demonstrate movement, shooting platforms, malfunctions, marksmanship, multiple target transitions, and shoot the standards to the satisfaction of the instructor.

  • Application of Situations and Tactics – Handgun

    $425.00

This class is taking learning, from a closed loop to an open loop phase, meaning decisions and the decision making process, is based on input from role players who are giving direct resistance to the student.  This class is decision making in a high stress environment and developing that process.
The goal of this course is to have students demonstrate a subconscious competence of previous technical skills as open loop resistance is applied.  The student will have situations and structures that challenge the learning curve.  Part of this course is conducted as live fire and part of the course will use UTM / Sims with realistic force on force scenarios.

OpFor (opposing force) is comprised of the instructor cadre; we use “win the fight” standards, imbuing survival and ‘fight through’ tactics.

This is a two day course with material that covers fundamentals of one handed manipulations and current defensive curriculum suited to structures, vehicles and force on force.  This course needs to follow previous training for a successful learning experience.

RANGE FEE is separate.  Please bring range fees on day 1.  Cash only.  $30.00 per student per day.

The students will gain knowledge of low light limitations and demonstrate techniques to the instructorʼs satisfaction.
