Application of Situations and Tactics – Handgun

2 REVIEWS

$425.00

This class is taking learning, from a closed loop to an open loop phase, meaning decisions and the decision making process, is based on input from role players who are giving direct resistance to the student.  This class is decision making in a high stress environment and developing that process.
The goal of this course is to have students demonstrate a subconscious competence of previous technical skills as open loop resistance is applied.  The student will have situations and structures that challenge the learning curve.  Part of this course is conducted as live fire and part of the course will use UTM / Sims with realistic force on force scenarios.

OpFor (opposing force) is comprised of the instructor cadre; we use “win the fight” standards, imbuing survival and ‘fight through’ tactics.

This is a two day course with material that covers fundamentals of one handed manipulations and current defensive curriculum suited to structures, vehicles and force on force.  This course needs to follow previous training for a successful learning experience.

RANGE FEE is separate.  Please bring range fees on day 1.  Cash only.  $30.00 per student per day.

The students will gain knowledge of low light limitations and demonstrate techniques to the instructorʼs satisfaction.

I can’t say enough about this course. I learned more in 8 hours than anything I’ve been taught on the range for years. Matt is an excellent instructor and you’ll feel very safe with his teaching methods. Rest assured, you’ll leave this class feeling more confident, knowledgeable, proficient, and more importantly, safer when handling your handgun.

If your a CHL holder or just someone that wants to learn how to operate your handgun better, you will not be disappointed. If you’re bored with shooting the same old paper target at the range, I would highly recommend this course to anyone.

Although you learn so much from this course in a very short period of time, I would recommend that you come back often for a refresher. I plan on taking this course several times a year.

Fantastic course, just took this for the first time over the past weekend. Class was fast paced, even with drills being setup where instructors would pull people to the side for some one on one coaching. Everyone improved throughout the 2 day course, multiple times we would go back to the firing line work accuracy and other drills. Then back to scenario based shooting anything from behind barricades, to around vehicles, from the prone, the knee, laying on your side, and from your back, also how to recover from the positions while being able to maintain down range fire to cover yourself as you recover. Matt and his instructors kept the class overall serious with little bursts of humor to keep people engaged. You also get to shoot A LOT!!!! Anyway, signing out, Great Class, great instructors, extra welldone sunburned neck.
